PURPOSE OF IP ADDRESS

♥ The IP Address is a logical network address that identifies a particular host.
    ( IP Address ialah alamat rangkaian logical yang mengenalpasti sesuatu computer tertentu )

♥ It must be properly configured and unique un order to communicate with other devices on the internet.
   ( Sepatutnya mesti disetting dengan betul dan unik supaya dapat berhubung dengan peranti lain )

♥ An IP Addess is assigned to the network interfaces connection for a host.
   ( IP address ditugaskan kepada antara muka rangkaian untuk host )

♥ This connection is usually a network interfaces card (NIC) installed in the devices.
    ( Sambungan ini biasanya dikaitkan dengan (NIC) yang dipasang dalam peranti )

   IP ADDRESS STRUCTURE

♪ Ip address is simply a series of 32 binary bits ( ones and Zeros )

♪ The 32 bits are grouped into your 8 bit bytes called octets.

♪ Each octet is presented as its decimal value, separated by a decimal point or period.

♪ The 32 bit IP Address is defined with IP version 4 ( IPv4 ) and is currently the most common from of IP Address on the internet.

♪ There are over 4 billion possible IP addressing using a 32 bit addressing scheme.
